Southampton Township Community Newsletter
Volume 2, Issue #2
November, 2002
Now that inspections are complete and property files
revised, the township’s fair market value program is nearing its end. The last component of the project entails a
mass mailing to all township property owners.
The notice will include pertinent information including the property
location, its tax Block and Lot and, most importantly, the new proposed
assessment. This mailing is slated to
go out during the last two weeks of November.
Any
resident/property owner who wishes to discuss the proposed assessment may do so
during the month of December.
Appointments will be scheduled for you when you call the township
telephone number printed in the assessment notice.
I am pleased to
report that the inspection phase of the work was completed with very little
controversy. Southampton’s residents
were open and understanding. If
resident relations during the information gathering stage are an indicator, I
expect that the overall market valuation project will prove successful.
This has been an in-house project coordinated by Southampton’s tax assessor. Comments or concerns regarding any property tax matter may be directed to the township assessor’s office at 859-3235.
